February ’07: Chicago drummer & Hanalei surf bro Tris Imboden records drums on all 10 tracks on new AT CD @ Ron Pendragon’s Fat Tuesday Records in the hills of Kappa.

January ’07: Soul groovemaster Kirk Smart records DeTemple Tele, Rickenbacker lap steel & mandolin on five AT CD songs.

January ’07: Bryan Kessler flies over from Oahu to record three more scorching guitar parts on AT CD tracks.

December ’06: AT records vocals on three tracks @ Steelgrass Ranch Studios with Brian Wohlgemuth at the helm.

November ’06: Slide Master Ken Emerson records three tracks on AT CD using my Sadowsky Tele Standard and a Hawaiian Lap Steel. Mike Shipley’s assistant Brian Wohlgemuth engineers session and lends a hand in editing Kens parts.

November ’06: Longtime AT music colaborator Michael Ruff begins laying down piano, wurlitzer, accordion & Hammond B3 organ parts on AT solo record.

November 2006: Donald Fagen’s newest solo CD, Morph The Cat, wins Mix Magazine TEC award for Technical Excellence and Creativity. Elliott Scheiner – who recorded basic tracks and mixed the record – tells the folks at Mix to send one of the awards to AT and Sugar Sound!

November 2006: MixMaster Mike Shipley mixes AT’s five CD Ursula/Kathleen project at Shipley’s Paradise Sound Studios on Kauai’s North Shore.

Oct. 2006: Harmonica wiz JP Allen formerly of Austin Texas, adds his sizzling chops to one of AT’s new solo CD tracks.

October 2006: AT produces and records improvisational pianist Urlula Lamberson, and trance-medium Kathleen at Steelgrass Ranch Studios in the foot-hills of Kapaa. Followed by editing at Black Bamboo Studios Kauapea facilities.

August 2006: AT begins recording vocals on new record.

July 2006: Bryan Kessler plays electric guitar on two tracks of AT CD in progress.

May 2006: Black Bamboo Studio upgrades to a 2.5 gig Dual Powermac G5 Quad processor and Pro Tools 7.1

May 2005: AT begins work on fourth solo CD. Recording RMX drum and percussion loops, Sadowsky and Steinberger electric rhythm guitar parts on ten original songs.

February ’05: Also finishing up production and recording of Darrell Gonzales Hawaiian CD @ BBS Kilauea, to be mixed at Barncards SF studio.

February 2005: AT puts finishing touches on the production, recording, and editing of Norman Kaawa Solomon’s new CD ‘Na Mele O Kauai’ at Black Bamboo Studios Kilauea location using a Digidesign 002R and trusty old NS 10 monitors. Will mix record with Stephen Barncard in San Francisco second week of March.

January7th – March 3rd 2005: Donald Fagen records four lead vocals and backing vocals, plus marimba and melodica parts, for new solo CD ‘Morph The Cat‘. The sessions take place at new temporary Black Bamboo Studio recording facility in Princeville, on the north shore of Kauai. NYC engineer TJ Doherty is at the helm, with AT assisting. Black Bamboo upgrades to a 2.5 gig Powermac G5 dual processor with a Pro Tools TDM System for DF sessions. Donald dubs the new location Sugar Sound. During session breaks Donald, TJ and AT were reportedly seen playing highly contested games of H.O.R.S.E. basketball.
